Transportation Assistance Program

Funded by Massachusetts’ Department of Transitional Assistance, the Transportation Assistance Program (TAP) relieves vulnerable families of pressing social, financial, medical, and other conditions by helping them relocate to better living situations outside Massachusetts. After confirming that accommodations await families at the end of their travel, case managers provide travel assistance and connect families with appropriate resources at their destination.

In the last fiscal year, 404 individuals, including 283 children from 97 families, moved to better living conditions with the help of the Transportation Assistance Program in Boston.

To qualify for the Transportation Assistance Program, a client family must be referred by the Department of Transitional Assistance and have a verified, safe place to stay in their destination.

Para comunicar con la oficina del programa del TAP, por favor llame al 617-542-7286 X227 para hablar con Delia Sealey.
