Linking Individuals and Families in Transition The Linking Individuals and Families in Transition (LIFT) program is Boston’s only ongoing transportation assistance program for people in need. It provides transport to new housing, to domestic violence services, a return to family, to employment, or other resources which can be attained through travel. Case workers at Travelers Aid Family Services work with these clients to link them with providers at their destination who will help them manage their critical needs.
In order to access the LIFT program, applicants must have a place to stay at the end of their trip which a case manager can verify. A modest co-pay is expected of individuals utilizing this service, if possible.
