Employment Services Working in conjunction with this agency's transitional to permanent housing programs, on July 1, 2007 Travelers Aid Family Services expanded its Continuum of Care and hired an Employment Specialist. This staff member works to help the underemployed as well as unemployed parents in our programs attain the skills necessary so that they can either achieve employment or become skilled for more gainful employment as part of the process needed to regain their self-sufficiency. Services include job placement assistance as well as crucial professional skills such as resume writing and interviewing. Once employed, the Employment Specialist tracks each clients' progress and provides continued support to handle job related issues and guidance so that they can advance their careers. |
