By Public Transportation:
Take the Red Line or Commuter Rail to South Station.
Exit South Station from the Atlantic Avenue side of the commuter rail entrance (near the food
court). Walk down the stairs (or use the ramp) to the sidewalk. You will see a traffic light just to
your right at Essex Street. Cross to the other side of Atlantic Avenue and turn to the left, passing
in front of the Plymouth Rock Assurance Building.
At the end of that building cross the street and turn right. This is East Street. The entrance is a few
steps up on the left. (Handicapped access is via the entrance to 711 Atlantic Avenue. Ask the attendant
inside 711 Atlantic Avenue for assistance.)
Driving:
From Route 93 South:
Take exit #20B-A onto Purchase Street toward South Station. Turn right on Summer Street. Turn left on
Bedford Street. Turn left on Kingston Street. Turn left on Essex Street. Turn right on South Street. Turn left
onto East Street.
From Route 93 North:
Take exit #20 onto Frontage Road. Take the ramp onto Atlantic Avenue toward South Station/Downtown.
Turn left onto East Street.
From Route 90 East:
Take Exit 24A to South Station. Refer to the directions above for coming from Route 93 North, from
Atlantic Avenue onward.
Parking in the area:
There is limited metered parking along South Street. There is also a parking garage atop the bus terminal. Follow the signs
on Kneeland Street (at the end of South Street) to access the bus terminal parking.
